The current building of Museum Arnhem will be expanded and updated.
The municipality of Arnhem is looking for an architect for this project:
- Conservation and restoration of the monument;
- A new large underground exhibition space;
- A new attractive public space (entrance, catering, etc.) on the ground floor;
- Good visibility to the museum from different directions;
- The demolition of the pub / restaurant on the east side;
- The possible (partial) demolishing of the extension of the museum;
- The realization of a new wing and rearrangement of exhibition rooms, activity rooms, public reception, catering, shopping, etc.; partially renovation of the existing museum (approx. 3 000 m2 gross floor area) (after enlargement: approx. 5 000 m2 gross floor area);
- Connecting the new building to the existing building.
The work must be carried out to the level of ‘DO Plus’.
