YAC - Young Architects Competitions - und Manni Group starten die GHANA INNOVATION FARM, die dritte Ausgabe des Manni Group Design Award, mit dem Ziel, ein Zentrum zu entwerfen, in dem ein System von Infrastrukturen und ein Ausbildungszentrum Wissen und Technologien mit der lokalen Bevölkerung teilen, um deren Bedürfnisse zu erfüllen.

Der Wettbewerb findet in Zusammenarbeit mit BASF, Renolit und ROCKWOOL als Sponsoren und unter der Schirmherrschaft von SACE, GCCA, InspiraFarms, IFRIA und Fondazione Patrimonio Acciaio statt.

Einige Paradoxien sind besonders schmerzhaft.

Es wird viel vom Wettlauf in den Weltraum gesprochen, vom schnellen und unerbittlichen Verbrauch von Ressourcen. Viele Menschen haben zu viel, weit über das Notwendige hinaus. Und doch leiden an vielen Orten der Welt immer noch Menschen an Hunger.

Es gibt keine einfachen Lösungen für die Kluft, die die menschliche Gesellschaft schon immer geprägt hat. Sicher ist jedoch, dass die Armut häufig nicht auf unzureichende natürliche Ressourcen zurückzuführen ist.

Ein Drittel der Bevölkerung des Globalen Südens betreibt Landwirtschaft in einem Umfeld, das für eine solche Tätigkeit sehr geeignet ist. Doch trotz eines günstigen Klimas und geeigneter Bodenbedingungen sind es gerade diese Menschen, die einen geringeren Nutzen aus der Agrar- und Lebensmittelversorgungskette ziehen. Dies liegt daran, dass die Hauptursachen für die Anfälligkeit oft nicht natürlicher, sondern infrastruktureller Art sind.

Um eine ausreichende Ernährung zu gewährleisten, spielen sowohl Produktionsaspekte als auch die Möglichkeit der Konservierung von Lebensmitteln oder Lebensmittelressourcen eine entscheidende Rolle.

Die Kühlkette ist eines der Kernthemen der globalen Ernährungsherausforderung. InspiraFarms ist sich dessen wohl bewusst. Seit mehr als 10 Jahren steht das Unternehmen an vorderster Front, wenn es darum geht, die technologische Entwicklung und Verbreitung sowie den Bau von Anlagen zur Stabilisierung und Konservierung von Lebensmitteln in Schwellenländern zu fördern.

Im Einklang mit den Zielen der Vereinten Nationen ist InspiraFarms dabei, in einem der aufstrebenden afrikanischen Agrarszenarien ein technologisches und kulturelles Zentrum zu errichten, um die globalen Herausforderungen der Lebensmittelversorgungsketten zu bewältigen. Es wird eine größere Verfügbarkeit von Produkten und Beschäftigungsmöglichkeiten an einem Ort schaffen, an dem mehr als 25 % der lokalen Bevölkerung unterhalb der Armutsgrenze leben.

In diesem Zentrum werden ein Infrastruktursystem und ein Ausbildungszentrum Wissen und Technologien an die lokale Bevölkerung weitergeben, um deren Bedürfnisse zu erfüllen. Dies soll durch die Entwicklung von Strategien erreicht werden, die ihre Aktivitäten wettbewerbsfähiger machen, und durch die Suche nach neuen Wegen zur Schaffung von Arbeitsplätzen und Möglichkeiten, insbesondere für junge Frauen und Bevölkerungsgruppen, die höheren Risiken ausgesetzt sind.

Das ist das Ziel der Ghana Innovation Farm Es ist die dritte Ausgabe des Manni Group Design Award, der InspiraFarms bei der Schaffung eines kulturellen und innovativen Projekts unterstützt. Sie soll zu einer Referenz für die lokale Gemeinschaft werden, die Ressourcen, Wissen und Lösungen bereitstellt, um das grundlegendste aller Menschenrechte zu erfüllen: den Zugang zu Nahrung.

YAC - Young Architects Competitions - and Manni Group​ launch GHANA INNOVATION FARM, the third edition of the Manni Group Design Award aiming to design a hub where a system of infrastructures and a training center will share with the local population knowledge and technologies to meet their needs.

The competition is in collaboration with BASF, Renolit, ROCKWOOL as sponsors and under the patronage of SACE, GCCA, InspiraFarms, IFRIA and Fondazione Patrimonio Acciaio.

Some paradoxes are particularly painful.

There is much talk of space race, rapid and relentless consumption of resources. Many people have too much, far beyond what is necessary. Yet, in numerous places of the world, people are still suffering from hunger.

There are no simple solutions to the gaps that have always affected human society. Still, what is certain is that often poverty is not caused by insufficient natural resources.

One third of the population of the Global South practices agriculture in contexts that are highly suited to such activity. Yet, despite a favorable climate and right soil conditions, it is precisely these peoples that obtain less value from the agri-food supply chain. This is because often the main causes of vulnerability are not natural but infrastructural.

In order to guarantee sufficient nutriment, both production aspects and the possibility to preserve food or food resources play a crucial role.

The cold chain is one of the core issues of the global nutrition challenge. InspiraFarms is well aware of that. For more than 10 years, it has been at the forefront in promoting technological development and dissemination together with the construction of facilities able to stabilize and preserve food produced in emerging countries.

Consistently with the United Nations goals, in one of the emerging African agricultural scenarios, InspiraFarms is about to build a technological and cultural hub to address the global challenges of food supply chains. It will generate a greater availability of products and job opportunities in a place where more than 25% of the local population live below the poverty line.

In this hub, a system of infrastructures and a training center will share with the local population knowledge and technologies to meet their needs. This will be achieved by developing strategies to make their activities more competitive and seeking new ways to create jobs and opportunities especially for young women and segments of the population facing higher risks.

This is the goal of Ghana Innovation Farm It is the third edition of the Manni Group Design Award, which is InspiraFarms’ ally for the creation of a beacon of culture and innovation. It shall become a reference for the local community providing resources, knowledge, and solutions able to meet the most basic of human rights: access to food.
