Futurebuild 2019 brings together opinion-shapers, decision-makers and product innovators to explore the latest technologies and approaches in construction and debate the biggest issues facing the built environment– both in the UK and overseas. The event will be taking place from 5 to 7 March 2019 at EXceL, London.
The chosen practice needed to create a stand would help to attract visitors, promote RIBA members and the profession while adding an exciting architectural element to the show.
Expressions of Interests were submitted by interested teams and Gundry + Ducker were selected as the winning practice.

Futurebuild 2019 brings together opinion-shapers, decision-makers and product innovators to explore the latest technologies and approaches in construction and debate the biggest issues facing the built environment– both in the UK and overseas. The event will be taking place from 5-7 March 2019 at EXceL, London. The RIBA stand should help to attract visitors, promote our members and the profession while adding an exciting architectural element to the show.
This is an open call for RIBA Chartered Members and Practices and will run as a single-phase competition. It is an opportunity for Practices to showcase their creativity and architectural expertise to a unique audience. Teams are required to submit applications to RIBA competitions in digital format only.
Publicity and marketing are intended to be the main benefits to the selected Practice however a fee of £7,500 + VAT is payable to assist in the design and oversight of the temporary installation.
A budget of £30,000 + VAT is available for the installation.

Concepts developed, detailed plans and costing development
(off site production if necessary): November 2018– March 2019
Build and Dressing: 04 March 2018
Futurebuild 2019: 05–07 March 2019
Removal of products (Bookshop): 09 March 2019
Dismantle (TBC): 08 March 2019
