Wettbewerbsaufgabe
Das Ziel des vorliegenden Wettbewerbs für Architekturstudenten und junge Architekten, Rural Tourism Accommodation (RuTA) Vietnam, besteht darin, Unterkünfte für Touristen zu entwerfen, die auf der Suche nach der Schönheit der Landschaft in diese ländliche Gegend des Landes reisen. Ein Ort, an dem die Natur und die ländliche Welt mit Hilfe der Reisterrassenfelder eine Schlüsselrolle spielen, um den Besuchern die Erholung zu erleichtern.
Die Grundlage für diesen architektonischen Raum müssen die Reisfelder und ihre charakteristische Form am Berghang sein. Er muss die Bedeutung des ländlichen Raumes, in dem er sich befindet, hervorheben.
Die neue Unterkunft muss darauf abzielen, das Ruhebedürfnis der Touristen zu erfüllen, von denen die meisten Fotografie-Liebhaber sind, die in diese Ecke des Planeten reisen und sich von der Schönheit dieser Landschaft mit ihren Terrassenfeldern überraschen lassen wollen, wo Farben und Farbveränderungen im Laufe des Jahres einen einzigartigen Charme bieten.
In einem Land mit vielen weltberühmten ikonischen Bildern muss diese neue Unterkunft auf dem Land zu einer architektonischen Referenz für Touristen werden, die von der Schönheit der Landschaft angezogen werden.
Competition assignment
The objective of the present competition for students of architecture and young architects, Rural Tourism Accommodation (RuTA) Vietnam, consists in proposing lodging for tourists that come to this rural area of the country looking for the beauty of its landscape. A place where nature and rural world, with the help of the rice terrace fields, play a key role in facilitating rest for visitors.
The rationale for this architectural space must be rice fields and its distinctive shape on the slope of mountains. It must highlight the importance of the rural area in which it will be located.
The new lodging must aim to satisfy the need for resting of tourists, most of them photography lovers that travel to this corner of the planet looking to be amazed by the beauty of this landscape of terrace fields, where colors and color shifting along the year provide a unique charm.
In a country with plenty of world-famous iconic images, this new lodging in the countryside, must become an architectural reference for tourists attracted by the beauty of the landscape.

The competition
Vietnam is the easternmost country on the Indochina Peninsula. Vietnam shares its land borders with China to the north, and Laos and Cambodia to the south-west. It has an extensive coastline which borders the South China Sea to the east. Its capital city has been Hanoi since North Vietnam and South Vietnam merged in 1976.
Mù Cang Chải is a rural district of Yên Bái Province, in the Northeast region of Vietnam. The district covers an area of 1,199 km².
The district is located at the foot of Hoang Lien Son mountain range, at an altitude of 1,000 metres above sea level. To get to Mù Cang Chải district, travelers must pass through Khau Phạ Pass, which is one of four imposing passes in the northwest of Vietnam.
The rice terrace fields in La Pan Tan, Che Cu Nha and Ze Xu Phinh have been recognized as national landscapes and have been used to attract both domestic and international tourists.
This region of northwest Vietnam is poor and relatively undeveloped has a rich natural environment. In recent years, Mù Cang Chải has been a popular place to visit, particularly when the rice harvest starts around the beginning of October.

Eligibility
This competition is open to international undergraduate and graduate students and recent graduate of architecture or related degrees, individually or in teams made up of a maximum of four (4) members.
Recent graduate means a person graduated within the two (2) years before the competition launching, this is, all graduated in 2017 or later.
Teams will pay a single registration fee, regardless of the number of team members.
Each participant can only present one proposal, whether as an individual or part of a team.
This competition is closed to any person who participated in the elaboration of the competition or who has dependent personal or professional ties to the organization.
