ULI hat das Awards for Excellence Programm 1979 ins Leben gerufen, um wirklich herausragende Entwicklungsleistungen im privaten, öffentlichen und gemeinnützigen Sektor zu würdigen. Die ausgezeichneten Projekte repräsentieren die höchsten Leistungsstandards in der Entwicklungsbranche – Standards, die die ULI-Mitglieder als würdig erachten, um sie in ihren beruflichen Bemühungen zu erreichen. Heute sind die Awards for Excellence in der Immobilien- und Landnutzungsbranche weithin als eines der renommiertesten Preisverleihungsprogramme anerkannt.
Mit den Awards for Excellence wird der gesamte Entwicklungsprozess eines Projekts gewürdigt, nicht nur die Architektur oder das Design - auch wenn diese Elemente eine wichtige Rolle spielen. Mit den Awards werden sowohl Entwicklungsprojekte als auch -programme ausgezeichnet. Bei den Projekten wird eine Vielzahl von Produkttypen ausgezeichnet, darunter Büro-, Wohn-, Einzelhandels-, Industrie-, Hotel- und Mischnutzungsprojekte, geplante Gemeinschaften, Freiflächen und mehr. Programme sind Initiativen, Prozesse oder Richtlinien, die die Entwicklung steuern oder verbessern.
Competition assignment
ULI began the Awards for Excellence program in 1979 to recognize truly superior development efforts in the private, public, and nonprofit sectors. Winning projects represent the highest standards of achievement in the development industry—standards that ULI members deem worthy of attainment in their professional endeavors. Today the real estate and land use industry widely recognizes the Awards for Excellence as one of its most prestigious awards programs.
The Awards for Excellence recognize the full development process of a project, not just its architecture or design—although these elements play an important role. The Awards recognize both development projects and programs. Among projects, the Awards recognize a wide variety of product types, including office, residential, retail, industrial, hotel, mixed use, planned community, open space, and more. Programs are initiatives, processes, or policies that guide or enhance development.
